🐝 Our Mission

The Booker T. Washington High School Alumni Association is dedicated to strengthening the bond among all Yellow Jackets. We strive to preserve and honor the rich history and traditions of BTW, while actively supporting the educational and financial future of the school and its students.

Our Core Purposes

We achieve our mission through three main objectives:

2. Preserve & Celebrate the Legacy

  • History: To document, archive, and share the historical significance and cultural legacy of Booker T. Washington High School in Montgomery.

  • Recognition: To honor and celebrate the outstanding achievements and contributions of our alumni body.

3. Support & Invest in the Future

  • Scholarships: To raise funds that provide deserving BTW students with scholarships for higher education.

  • School Aid: To financially support specific needs of the school, including capital improvements, athletic programs, and classroom resources.

  • Mentorship: To create opportunities for alumni to engage with and mentor current students, passing on the Yellow Jacket tradition of excellence.
